New retail center to open early 2008

Little Elm town staff joined with the Economic Development Corporation and community members Monday to celebrate the completion of the infrastructure of Little Elm Towne Crossing. The new shopping center, under development by Henry S. Miller, is located at the southwest corner of Eldorado Parkway and FM 423 and will feature Applebee’s, Walgreens, McDonalds, 24-Hour Fitness, Hobby Lobby, the Dollar Tree and Burger King/Popeyes, along with additional shops. The development is slated for completion early next year.

“We’re here to celebrate the development of a strategic corner of Little Elm,” said Dee Dee Lear, EDC president. Upon completion, she noted, the development will offer 150,000 square feet of new retail space, with an estimated value of $19.5 million, which will also translate into an increase in Little Elm’s tax base and new jobs.
