News notes: Annual Thanksgiving dinner slated Nov. 18

Seniors, town residents and visitors are invited to the 11th annual free Thanksgiving dinner at the Little Elm Community Center on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Aubrey Area Library will present "Art by the Lake" featuring Oak Point Art Society and Aubrey area artists and the Native Arts Gallery of Dallas Saturday, Nov.17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 18 from noon to 5 p.m.

The fine arts event will be located at The Centre in Aubrey, 226 Countryside Drive, Aubrey.The event is free.

Help put smiles on the faces of less fortunate children on Christmas morning by donating new toys and clothing to the Santa's Elves program.

Santa's Elves of Little Elm has provided unwrapped gifts to children living in the town of Little Elm for eight years and was established to help children who "fell through the cracks" of normal fundraising efforts. The program is intended for families who do not receive assistant from local schools, including children that are that home-schooled, in alternative programs, have special needs or have not yet reached school-age. Last year the "Elves" helped more than 372 children.

Santa's Elves will be holding a Drop Off Event on November 17th from 10 AM - 2 PM in front of the Little Elm Town Hall at 100 West Eldorado Parkway, Little Elm, TX 75068. If you are unable to come by during the event, a drop off box will be available in the lobby throughout the month of November for new, unwrapped toys and clothes.
