Lakeside Summer Musicals presents ‘Bye Bye Birdie’

Little Elm will be rockin’ and rollin’ June 27-30 as Lakeside Summer Musicals presents “Bye Bye Birdie.” Shows will be presented Friday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 28 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 29 at 3 p.m.

“Tickets are selling fast, with limited seating available!” said director Kristy Vivian. “Over half of the available tickets have been sold in pre-order!” Bye Bye Birdie, a crowd favorite for many years, tells the story of a rock-and-roll singer, Conrad Birdie who is about to be inducted into the army and his farewell publicity stunt that will be remembered for its hilarity and imagination. Hit songs in the musical include Put on a Happy Face, A Lot of Livin’ to Do, Kids and many more.

“This fun and fabulous Tony Award-winning musical is performed by 45 cast members, both professional and volunteer, from Little Elm and the surrounding communities,” Vivian said. “Come on out and enjoy the show!” Tickets are $12 for adults and $7.50 for students or senior citizens 65 years and older. Tickets may be purchased at www.b3tickets.com, Zip It Postal, Point Bank or the front office of Little Elm High School. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door.
