Just a Minute

As many of you may have guessed since there was no paper last week, he’s here.

William Lucas Childress was born last Tuesday, July 15 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton, weighing in at 7 pounds, 9 ounces and 20 inches in length -- not bad since he was two weeks early.

While a c-section was necessary since Luke was laying crosswise, both of us are doing fine and working on a schedule that allows me to take care of him, get the paper out and get a little sleep.

So please bear with me if I’m a little slow returning phone calls or emails right now. My world’s shifted upside down, with a beautiful baby boy at the center of it.

Although I’ll admit I’m a bit biased, and a little sleep deprived, Luke is definitely a keeper and I’m sure he’ll be keeping me on my toes for the next 18 years or so.
