News notes: Autumn Fest slated Sept. 27-30

The Little Elm Autumn Fest committee continues to seek student volunteers for its annual fall festivities beginning next Thursday.

Students interested in volunteering may contact Amber Sullivan at Little Elm High School, 972-292-1840.

This year's festivities will include Family Night at the Carnival Thursday, live music Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, with The Killdares, postponed from Summer Rhythms' rainout, performing Saturday, followed by the fireworks presentation postponed from Little Elm's Fourth of July celebration. The Cliff Temple  will perform Sunday afternoon at the ice cream social.

A full line-up of entertainment is also slated Saturday afternoon, including the return of the Fun Run, Anything that Floats derby, Pretty Baby and Miss Autumnfest contests, NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competitions and Ducky Dash.
