Police urge caution after attempted assault

Little Elm police are urging residents to beware following an attempted sexual assault Friday morning.

According to police, a man forced his way into a house in the 2100 block of Calm Water about 11:20 a.m.

when a female resident answered a knock at the door.

The woman said she was pushed to the floor and fought back, screaming. The victim said the suspect apparently got scared and fled.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic, 5'9", between 160 and 200 pounds, clean-cut with a goatee, wearing a gray shirt.

According to police, officers were dispatched to a nearby construction site to question men who matched the description.
