Lobos end season with victory over Denton
By LAURA CHILDRESS

It wasn’t pretty, with six turnovers, close to 200 yards in penalties and ejections to boot, but at the end of the evening, the one thing that mattered was the score ending up in Little Elm’s favor, 39-36, over Denton.

Little Elm got on the board first on a 1-yard run by Christian White. Darnell Adams would connect with Fred Fowler on a 78-yard score, to make it 13-0 Little Elm after one.

Adams and Fowler would hook up again in the second frame on a 44-yard TD that would give the Lobos a 19-point lead that they would have to fight to retain.

Denton would finally find the endzone in the second, pulling within 19-6 before the half.

The Broncos would rein in the Lobos a little more in the third period, with Daniel Castro scoring on a 1-yard run, to make it 19-12.

Little Elm put a little distance back between them on a 5-yard White run.

Denton answered.

Adams and Fowler would then combine for their third TD of the night, this one from 25 yards out, to give the Lobos a 33-22 edge going into the final period.

Denton’s Booker Washington would scoop up a fumble and return it 25 yards to keep things interesting.

Little Elm responded, with Adams finding TJ Gonzalez from 5 yards out.

The Lobos would then hold on for the win.
